Prolific author Cynthia MacGregor, with over 50 published books to her credit, loves her work and says, "There's no one in the world I'd want to trade lives with." A full-time freelance writer/editor, she specializes in books for parents and kids but doesn't confine herself strictly to those categories. For example, "THE COOK-AHEAD COOKBOOK" and "AFTER YOUR DIVORCE." She also does ghostwriting, business writing, and quite a bit of editing. As well, Cynthia is an ordained New Thought minister, who was co-pastor of a Unity church and recently has started a new, non-denominational New Thought church. Her newsletter, E-Zine Does It, is published weekly, is
eclectic (assorted) in its contents, and is FREE. A bonus: each issue has one of
her truly delicious recipes! It contains everything from reminiscences to
recipes, from humor to advice to wordplay, and lots more. But why not see for
yourself? It costs nothing! Subscribe by sending a blank EMail to: Cynthia's books on parenting, having fun with kids and child safety are unique and should be required reading for moms, dads and anyone who cares for children. Those for children to read are sure to help kids stay safe, become creative and learn to deal with life's hard knocks such as parental divorce, moving, or the arrival of a new baby. When questioned about the variety of things she writes, Cynthia says, "I don't want to be a one-trick pony." Small chance of that! She asks us to point out, however, that there is another Cynthia MacGregor who also writes, and that books by the other Cynthia MacGregor are also listed on the Amazon and Barnes and Noble websites. Cynthia also does public speaking. You can contact her through her website: http://www.cynthiamacgregor.com . Cynthia's hobbies are cooking (no surprise there!) and writing haiku (a form of poetry), which we feature regularly on our site. She loves to entertain her friends over dinner. A punster, she loves wordplay and won 2nd prize in one of the two events in the 2001 O. Henry World Championship Pun-Off in Austin, Texas. "I love working with words," she says. "Why shouldn't I also enjoy playing with them-- in puns?!" She also heads up the Palm Springs Players, a community theatre troupe that presents plays Cynthia has written. Although she doesn't have much time for her hobbies... she works long hours, seven days a week... Cynthia says, "Who needs a hobby when work is so much fun?!" Index to Books
