The people that present "History
in a Nutshell" have a new presentation and also need your
help. They sent me the following e-mail:
"Dear Friends,
We put a lot of time and effort into creating our presentations and providing feedback on them – often working until the early hours of the morning. We do this voluntarily and we are on no one’s payroll – not the Israeli government’s and not one of the big Jewish organization’s. We know that many people use our presentations as educational tools – some for use at home, others for lectures, for use on the campuses, etc. We firmly believe that as many people as possible should be able to view our presentations – this is the reason we created them (so far, well over one million unique visitors have seen them), and this is the reason why we keep them on the web, free for everyone to view.
In order to raise money to help continue this project, which so many of you have told us is vital, we have created a CD-ROM. This “Nutshell CD” contains the three presentations: History in a Nutshell, Nutshell Too, and Imagine, and is now available for all those who wish to use our presentations off-line as an educational tool to help explain the background to the Arab-Israel conflict.
A minimum donation of $25 per CD will cover our production and shipping expenses, and will also represent a small donation to enable us to keep this project alive. A larger donation, of course, will be happily received, and will help us that much more. If you are unable to help us cover the costs, but still wish to assist Israel by showing the presentations to your friends and acquaintances, please let us know, and we will send the history presentations to you.
With the funds raised in this way, we hope to be able to create new presentations on a variety of related subjects, and also to provide more adaptations of the existing presentations into languages other than English.
