Here's some tips from Dr. Weil, who recommends "Eat less and exercise more", although recognizing that it's sometimes hard to do.
  • Replace high-fat foods with low-calorie ones.
  • Avoid artificial sweeteners and synthetic fat substitutes and the foods made with them.
  • Exercise, exercise, exercise.
  • Combat anxiety with relaxation exercises rather than food.
  • Accept your body as less than perfect, but beautiful just the same
