Broken Glass Gelatin Dessert
A Tupperware recipe, at the Sneaky Kitchen
4 small boxes Jell-O (4 different flavors & colors)
4 1/2 C. water, (or sub 1 C. ea. juice, same
flavor as Jell-Os
2 envelopes Knox unflavored gelatin
1 C. whole or 2% milk
1 can sweetened condensed milk
1 1/2 tsp. vanilla
Mix whole or 2% milk, sweetened condensed milk & vanilla in a bowl. Place in the refrigerator to chill. Make
Jell-O using only 1 C. water (or same kind of juice as Jell-O) for each
flavor; put into 4 separate loaf pans. Refrigerate until solid. When
hardened, cut it into squares & place in a
Jel-Ring.
Add plain gelatin to 1/2 C. water,
dissolve in microwave or over medium heat; add to milk. Pour milk mixture
into
Jel-Ring, refrigerate
& let harden for about 3 hrs. Wet serving plate slightly. Unmold, center on plate,
& serve with a flourish.
Optional: Prepare milk mixture with plain gelatin & pour into
a 5th loaf pan. Let harden in refrigerator. Instead of Jel-Ring, cube Jell-O
& milk & place cubes,
mixed, into a Medium Ice Prism bowl. Cover
& refrigerate until
ready to serve.
Choose colors to reflect
holidays: red & green for Christmas, red & blue for July 4th, orange,
green & purple for Halloween... You can cut calories slightly using sugar-free Jell-O. |
