3 Tbsp butter
1 1/2 Tbsp maple syrup (or pancake syrup)
1 cup chopped apple (peeled or unpeeled)
1/2 tsp cinnamon
1/2 tsp allspice
1 heaping Tbsp raisins
3 cups Honey Nut Cheerios (or
Place butter in a skillet over medium-low heat. As it melts, add syrup. (If you only have agave or corn syrup, add 1/4 tsp. maple flavoring). Add chopped apples, raisins, and sprinkle cinnamon and allspice over the apples. Stir, cooking until apples are almost tender. Add Cheerios, and stir to coat with butter and syrup. Continue to cook, stirring frequently, until Cheerios are well coated and hot. Can be eaten as a snack, but are GREAT for a crunchy and chewy breakfast with milk. This recipe is gluten free!
