Okra & Stewed Tomatoes
A recipe from the Sneaky Kitchen

1 can stewed tomatoes
1/2 lg. pkg. of frozen, cut okra

Pour tomatoes into a large stainless steel or enamel pan, and turn heat to medium high.  Pour half a large package of frozen cut okra into a sieve; run under warm water for a moment to remove the frost.  If you wish, cut each piece into smaller slices, but it's not necessary.

Add to tomatoes and bring to a boil.  Turn heat to a simmer and cook until okra is tender and/or starting to fall apart.

Excellent by itself, or like gravy over thick yellow grits.
