This tasty dip was suggested by the American Diabetes Association. We have made some alternative suggestions.
1 cup low-fat sour cream (or fat free)
1 cup nonfat mayonnaise (or reduced fat mayonnaise)
3 tablespoons minced fresh dill (or 1 teaspoon dried dill)
1 teaspoon lemon juice
1/4 teaspoon garlic powder (or one garlic clove, finely minced)
1/4 teaspoon onion powder (or 1/2 teaspoon onion flakes)
Stir together and chill a while for the flavors to blend.
Use for crudities, celery sticks, carrot sticks, pretzels, low-fat tortilla chips or rice cakes. If you use it for potato chips or greasy corn chips, you're cheating!
