Lady Bird Johnson's spiced tea was published last month.  Here's another iced tea recipe from the Sneaky Kitchen.  It's not quite as sweet, and makes a full gallon of a healthy summer beverage.

Spiced Tea from the Sneaky Kitchen

4 tea bags (black or blended tea)
5 tea bags (green tea)
2 1/2 cups water
2 heaping teaspoons of cider brew (spices for making spiced cider),    OR:
    1 teaspoon
whole cloves
    1 teaspoon whole allspice
    1 cinnamon stick
1 star anise seed with its pod
1 1/3 cups sugar
8 oz frozen orange juice concentrate, or 1 quart orange juice
8 oz lemon or lime juice (takes about 5 to 6 lemons),
            including pulp if desired

Bring water to a boil.  Add the tea and spices.  Reduce heat as low as possible and simmer for 10 minutes.   Strain and squeeze out tea bags.    Add sugar and stir to dissolve.

Add fruit juices and stir until completely combined.   Pour into a gallon container, or divide into 2  two-quart pitchers.  Fill up with water to make one gallon.  Serve over ice.  Let people sweeten it more if they want.
