| Stanley Questions & Comments
We have been going thru our mother's estate and we have come across a few
Stanley products or gift give-aways that my mother had left from when she was a
dealer. For instance we have found some leaf shaped coasters, as well as some
aluminum coasters with the Stanley emblem on them. I have also found a set of ball point salt & pepper shakers still in the
box. I was just curious if these thing have any value to collectors.
I have been looking on the net and so far haven't found anything to tell me.
I may not know what to look for so I thought I would contact you. If you could email me any and all info
you may have on these things, I would certainly be grateful.
I would have no idea, nor, I'm sure, would anyone associated with Stanley (now part of Fuller Brush Products). Don't throw them out, however, as many unexpected items have a value one wouldn't foresee. There's a big market for nostalgia items. Consider visiting and advertising them on the auction site, Ebay. Click on Ebay to search for Fuller or Stanley collectibles and their salability.
Hello - can you tell me if Stanley stills carriers the bottle of glue that was a gold color. Thanks.
Frankly , I don't recall our Stanley ever having a glue. Be aware that there are a number of Stanley companies, probably the two most famous being Stanley Home Products and Stanley Tools. Unfortunately, Stanley Tools has failed to put a Search feature on their site. There are other companies called Stanley - it's a common name. At any rate, the present Stanley Home Products featured on our site offers great personal care products and cleaning supplies, but no glue. And a search of the web hasn't found anything other than Stanley Glue Guns and replacement glue sticks.
I am trying to locate a product I bought in 1979! It was a spray
Fuller now has Stanley Products. You (and anyone else interested) might like to contact them at info@fuller.com and ask for a sachet spray for mattresses, etc. They listen to customers more than reps on requests. Explain exactly what you are looking for.
I have been collecting the Stanley Home Products "Kitchen Utensils" from the 50's or 60's. I ordered a catalog from that era from E-Bay but they did not contain the silverware. I have lots of forks and knives but have yet to see one spoon. The have the brown handle with the split in the middle, just like the brushes that are in the catalog. Could you please give me some insight to the silverware (Stainless). Was or is it dishwasher safe? I will be anxiously awaiting your response. Please send to Orudis@gte.net. Thanks.
I didn't know Stanley ever had silverware!!! It probably was a gift given when a person hosted a party. Or perhaps it was made by another company with the same name. Things come and go on eBay, so keep trying. Perhaps a reader will have some they would like to sell. Bakelite was an early kind of plastic and is not real durable. I would use it sparingly, never soak it and CERTAINLY not put it in the dishwasher! Don't even expose it to strong chemicals like bleach. By the way, I don't like to print email addresses; I hope you have an anti-virus program active. If not, contact me and I'll remove your address.
I was born in 1949. My mother had purchased a Stanley hair brush the same year. I used that brush until I was about 25 years old. Then I started selling Stanley Products for a short time, and bought a new brush (The Lady Catherine). I used the old brush as a selling point at my home parties. I sold a lot of brushes. Now, it is about another 25 years, and I need a new hair brush. I'm glad to see that you still carry the Lady Catherine.
Hello, I was interested in your product called Selectives 2000 Complex Silver and appreciate that the nutritional content is available on your website. Could you please tell me the what the dosage (how many pills) is for the amounts listed for this product. Thank you very much for you time and help and I look forward to your response.
The nutritional values are for one a day, the recommended dosage. The bottle contains 60 tablets, so that's a 2-month supply.
My mother has a hand wash agitator that she bought from Stanley Home Products, probably 30 years ago. Does such a thing still exist?
Certainly Stanley doesn't have them, and we've been unable to locate them for other readers. Other people sometimes call them "laundry plungers". See previous request and possible solution.
Hello! I recently acquired a pair of Stanley Ball Point Salt and Pepper Shakers and am curious to know what year they were made. I've looked on the box but no date is listed. Do you have any idea? Thank you for any help you can give me.
I never heard of such a thing! Probably it was given as a premium and those were mostly outsourced. Or maybe if inscribed it was a bonus or award. Does anyone remember such a thing? If you have a photo please send. I'm curious.
