Hello,
I was wondering if the Fuller Brush products are made in the USA. It would be nice if they stated the country of origin on the catalog.
Thank you.
Robert M.
Most Fuller products are made in the factory in Kansas. A few of the non-brush, non-bottled items are not. Fuller-Stanley makes every effort to use USA materials when possible.
Many companies wave "Made in USA" like a flag when only the final assembly is done here, most of the ingredients and sometimes most of the assembly being done overseas. Sometimes this is done on purpose to mislead people who wish to buy domestic only products.
It sometimes takes research to find out where all the ingredients or parts came from. This is one thing that makes it impractical for an honest company to put "Made in USA" on its products or in its catalogs.
The flaps with China recently make it even more urgent that at least in the case of foods, pet foods, medications and personal care items, that the source (country and perhaps even state in the case of foods) of the ingredients be listed, a mammoth job but one that's probably necessary to adequately safeguard our health!
Update! Fuller products are now marked on the website with a symbol to tell you if they are made in the USA. They almost surely will be so marked in the new catalog, due out about March 2008.
