Hi -- my Mom recently received the Sheerly Elegant olive oil bottle as a gift and she wants to use it ... however, one question ... how do you open it ? How do you get the stopper out ? We have tried twisting it both ways and have tried pulling on it as hard as we can but we are afraid to break it. Can you please advise how to get the stopper out ? We weren't given any instructions. Thank you.

When we sell the Sheerly Elegant bottle we make sure to let the person know that they are to use a little olive oil around the bottom of the stopper before putting into the bottle to help with removing.

If you did not do this, you may have to break the bottle and or stopper to remove.

I guess that's not much help now.   Since it was a gift, and not demonstrated at a party, I guess you had no way of knowing.

If it were mine, first I'd put olive oil all around the rim and leave it for a day or two to see if it would seep in around the stopper.

If that didn't work, try submerging the whole thing in icy cold water with plenty of ice cubes, and when well chilled, try to take it out then.

If it was already put together and you never were able to get it out the first time, when you received it, you'll have to contact Tupperware directly about it.
