I am looking for a pie plate that may been distributed by Watkins with a cherry pie recipe printed on the plate. I do not have a time frame when this may have been distributed. Any information that you can provide would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks for your help.

Every year Watkins offers at least one high quality, collectible pie plate, decorated with a recipe. This past holiday season the theme was the Fireside French Apple Pie. The previous year was a Cranilla Pecan Pie. In 1998 it was a Turkey Pot Pie plate. I don't personally remember a cherry pie, but there may very well have been one some time before that. I'm not sure how many years Watkins has been offering these plates during the holidays. You can always bookmark the Watkins site above and check in September.
I love mine, and not just for the recipe. It's a big improvement over the old aluminum or Pyrex pie plates. Were you looking for the recipe, or did you want to buy one? You might try eBay. Does anyone have one of these pie plates?
By the way, for a real taste treat, try Watkins' Spiced Apple Cranberry Pie.

| I have the cherry pie plate at home. I have four others as well - these date back to the 1980s.

I have the pie plate and was getting ready to put it in a yard sale. It has the Cherry Pie Recipe printed in the bottom of the plate. Are you interested in purchasing it?

| I just got the Watkins Cherry Pie Plate from a yard sale in perfect condition. It has both the pie crust and filling recipe printed on the bottom of the plate. Currently I have Pecan, Apple and now Cherry plates and am looking forward to collecting as many as I can to decorate my new kitchen. Keep an eye out at flea markets and yard sales you will probably run across that Cherry Pie Plate you are looking for. I can kick myself for not getting the Peach Pie one I saw last month at a local peddlers fair. Good luck on your search.
