why does my dryer take the sent of my chlothes when they come out of the washer they smell great when they come out of the dryer they have no smell at all?

The reason is that your detergent has a fragrance, but the drying process forces air through the clothes to dry them, and takes out the fragrance.   Personally, I prefer no smell at all, and am sensitive to odors and perfumes.  That's one reason I use Fuller 86 detergent, it has no perfume added.  See it at http://sneakykitchen.com/fullerbrush/products/175.htm or http://sneakykitchen.com/fullerbrush/products/654.htm

If you really must have perfume in your clothing, use dryer sheets.
