Re:    Streets of Miami

In my neighborhood, you could add the sound made by the Pileated Woodpecker, ( a huge bird I might add) as the thonk, thonk, thonking, as he batters a dead tree seeking worms and bugs in hiding, announces his presence. We have at least a pair in my neck of the woods. My backyard is next door to 3500 acres of mixed woodlands, untouched as of yet, by the rapidly approaching developments.

The 1/3rd of the property next to my backdoor is state property, so I will never be encroached by development. (Marvin L Mobley, Msgt. USAF retired, AF14452463, MRGRG (Member military retiree grass roots group) adds this quote from George Washington:) "The willingness with which our young people are likely to serve in any war, no matter how justified, shall be directly proportional to how they perceive the veterans of earlier wars were Treated and Appreciated by their Nation."
