I was just rereading the thing about the seat belts. One of the cdv movies that I downloaded from the Internet Archive was a tourism short about South Florida. It had a young couple with their toddler daughter. At one point they take a tour in a helicopter with no doors, the father sits right next to the doorway, holds the toddler in his lap and then repeatedly leans over so that she can see down (as he points with the arm he's not holding her with). I thought if somebody tried that now they would be arrested and their child taken away from him. I'm not sure what this means or even how I feel about it (mixed, mostly), but I thought that you might find it interesting.
