Fuller Brush Special Items & Hints
Disease Prevention

HINT:   Exotic diseases that piggy-back in along with international travel, as well as new, industrial-strength germs that have grown into antibiotic-resistant dangers, are threatening our health.  This is in addition to the normal run of household bacteria, viruses and funguses that can affect our well-being and that of our families.

Fortunately there is much you can do to prevent and eradicate these dangers.   Here's some examples - click on name of product for prices and details:

Research has shown that the SARS virus can live on surfaces much longer than previously expected.  Cold and flu viruses can also survive for a while, and when you touch an infected surface you can transfer those germs to your nose and mouth.  Use Fulsan Spray Disinfectant on doorknobs, telephones, any surfaces touched by people who may be ill.   Still on sale this month.  Stock up!
HINT:  The West Nile Virus is likely to keep spreading throughout the warmer weather.   You can reduce your chances of becoming ill by protecting yourself and your family from mosquito bites.
  • Apply insect repellent containing DEET (N,N-diethyl-meta-toluamide) to exposed skin whenever you are outdoors.
  • When possible, wear long-sleeves, long pants and socks when outdoors.  Treating clothes with repellents containing permethrin or DEET will give extra protection, since mosquitoes may bite through thin clothing.   Do not apply repellents containing permethrin directly to skin.  Do not spray repellent containing DEET on the skin under your clothes.

  • The hours from dusk to dawn are peak mosquito biting times.  Consider avoiding outdoor activities during these times -- or take extra care to use repellent and protective clothing during evening and early morning.

  • Mosquitoes lay their eggs in standing water.  Limit the number of places around your home for mosquitoes to breed by getting rid of items that hold water.

  • Check to see if there is an organized mosquito control program in your area.
HINT:  A recent TV program showed a researcher swabbing household surfaces in a home with a new baby and other small children.  The results were astounding - e-coli, salmonella, viruses, funguses and allergens abounded.  Good house cleaning can control many of these problems, and Fuller has some great solutions.

Fuller's Germicidal Cleaners are hospital quality products that kill bacteria, viruses, funguses, prevent mildew and mold and also clean and deodorize.  Can you beat that combination?  But there's more - they are gentle cleaners that can be used on most surfaces - tile floors, metals, Formica, most painted surfaces, you name it.  Use the spray on leather and wipe off with a dry cloth to clean and prevent harmful mildew.  Use on toilet seats, shower walls, diaper pails, litter boxes - hundreds of uses.  And more - they are concentrated!     Don't take chances - clean, deodorize and disinfect all in one step.

Fullsan Quaternary Germicidal Liquid Cleaner

Especially formulated for use in the kitchen, Spray 'n San II cleans and kills germs on kitchen surfaces.  Did you know that your kitchen sink is one of the most germ-contaminated surfaces in the home?  Use on surfaces where raw eggs, meat, poultry or chicken is prepared.  Use before using the sink to wash veggies and fruits.  Keep your family's tummies safe!

More and more food is contaminated with germs, sometimes dangerous ones.  In addition to cleaning surfaces before thoroughly cooking animal products, veggies and fruits need to be cleaned well.  Use the  Premium Veggie Scrubber.
