If you're
going to "talk the talk", Have you ever heard this saying? When we started with Fuller Brush over 25 years ago, our manager encouraged us to do two things - to learn all we could about each product, and to "Fullerize" our home. We already had a good start because we had used and enjoyed Fuller products for years. Each order we placed, starting with the first one, we included several items for ourselves until all possible items in the house were replaced with Fuller ones. We studied uses, benefits and sales points of several featured products each campaign, making sure we ordered one to use ourselves, prior to the beginning of the sale, and to utilize as a demo. We had a whole shelf of demos; when one became worn or low we used it in our own home and ordered another as a demo. I'm positive this is one of the reasons that in our first year, we were seventh in sales in this area. By the third year we were in first place in South Florida, and by the sixth year first in the nation in group sales, a spot we held for all but one of the next thirteen years. All of us would like to earn more money; that is probably one reason you joined the Fuller family. Earning with Fuller - or any other way - just doesn't occur by magic, does it? There are several steps to help you accomplish it: forming a goal, making a plan of action, always be prepared with catalogs and an order book wherever you go, putting in the time, keeping records on customers and sales, and knowing and using your product. Take an inventory of your home - list items you can replace with a Fuller product in your first few orders. For instance:
Think about the impact of recommending and trying to take orders for (or trying to get someone else to sell) one brand of products while doing the opposite yourself. If you REALLY want a better chance to make money, start now to "Fullerize" your own home. You’ll get a discount, so the products will cost you less. The retail value will increase the size of your orders, possibly putting you into a higher discount level. It'll be a most enjoyable (and economical) way to build your business! Bess W. Metcalf |
