Butternut Squash Puree


3 lb. butternut squash, peeled and cut into 1" cubes (about 5 - 6 cups)
1 tsp. Simple Indulgence Cinnamon-Vanilla Seasoning Blend
1/4 C. maple syrup
3 Tbsp. unsalted butter
salt and pepper to taste

Fill the Tupperware SmartSteamer water tray with 1 3/4 cups of water.  Place the squash cubes in the Steamer base.  Sprinkle squash with Seasoning Blend, salt and pepper.  Cook for 15-20 minutes on high power, or until squash is tender when pierced with a fork.

Measure maple syrup in a 2-cup Micro Pitcher and add butter.  Heat in a microwave1 minute.  Stir to melt butter completely and combine.  Place half of the squash in a Quick Chef fitted with the blade attachment.  Add half of the maple syrup and butter mixture to squash and mix until squash is very smooth.  Place in a serving container and repeat with remaining squash and butter mixture. Stir to combine; add additional salt and pepper to taste if needed.  Serve warm.
