2 teaspoons of dry active yeast
1/4 cup lukewarm water
1-1/2 cups cold water
2 Tablespoons olive oil
1 Tablespoons sesame seed oil
4 cups of unbleached flour

Garnishes of sesame seeds, dried parsley, dried basil, dried cilantro or kosher salt

  • Measure ingredients with Tupperware« Measuring Spoons and Measuring Cups.   Place the warm water and the yeast in the Quick Shake Container and let soften for ten minutes.  Add the cold water and oils and shake to mix.

  • Measure the flour into a Thatsa Bowl Jr., and slowly mix in the liquid ingredients.  Turn the dough out onto a floured Tupperware« Simply Perfect Pastry Sheet.  Knead well, adding more flour as needed, until dough is elastic and soft.  Divide into two parts.  Press each part into a rectangle approximately 14" x 6".  Leave it to rise for one hour.    Sprinkle on garnishes as desired.

  • Using the Tupperware« Pizza Wheel, cut into 24  6" strips.   Lift and pull each strip out to 12" and lay on an oiled baking sheet, about 1/2 " apart. 

  • Bake in a preheated oven at 350F for 18 to 20 minutes, until the breadsticks are golden.   Store (or give as a gift) in the Spaghetti Dispenser, for up to two days.
