Microwave German Chocolate Cake

   

Chocolate cake mix
    (follow directions for an extra-moist cake, usually using pudding mix)
8 oz. cream cheese
1/4 C. sugar
1-1/2 tsp. vanilla
1 egg
1 12-oz. bag chocolate chips

Soften cream cheese and mix in the sugar, vanilla and egg. Fold in the chocolate chips.

Prepare the cake batter. Spread about half of the cake batter in 3/4 quart Tupperware casserole. Spread cream cheese mixture evenly over batter. Pour remaining cake batter into the casserole.

Cook uncovered in microwave 15 minutes. The cake must rotate while cooking; do it manually if the microwave doesn't have a turntable. Watch closely so cake will cook evenly.

Let cool 5 or 10 minutes. Flip cake onto plate. Frost with whatever icing you prefer.
