Lentil Beef or Turkey Chili 12 oz/340 g lean ground beef or turkey Heat a heavy 3-quart/liter saucepan over medium-high heat. Add ground beef and cook until beef is browned; remove to a colander and drain well. Heat Liquid Spice in same saucepan; add onion and peppers; saute until onion is tender. Add beef and all of remaining ingredients except cheese. Cover and simmer until lentils are tender, stirring occasionally, about 1-1/2 hours. Serve hot with a sprinkling of Parmesan cheese. Makes 8 servings.
